Start with the concern
Mafi's procedure list includes rhinoplasty, facelift, blepharoplasty, brow lift, neck contouring, and otoplasty. These names address different areas and should not be treated as interchangeable solutions to a broad goal such as looking refreshed.
Write down what you notice in the nose, eyelids, brow, lower face, neck, or ears, and ask which area the proposed procedure would actually change. The answer may differ from the label you first searched.
Ask about scope and alternatives
For each proposed option, ask what it can and cannot change, whether more than one procedure is being suggested, and why. Discuss non-surgical possibilities or no treatment when those are reasonable alternatives.
The ASPS consultation checklist includes realistic goals, expected recovery, risks, and the setting for care. Apply those questions to the specific facial procedure rather than assuming a common timeline or result across the group.
Compare like with like
Use gallery cases only when the procedure and starting concern are identified. Check whether captions describe combination treatments and when the after image was taken before using them as a discussion aid.
After evaluation, request a written plan naming each proposed procedure, its purpose, and any alternatives. Use that plan to compare expected care, setting, follow-up, and a current quote.
Questions and answers
Is a facelift the same as eyelid surgery?
No. They are separately listed services with different target areas; ask the surgeon to explain the proposed anatomy and goal.
Do all face procedures happen at the surgery center?
The service list alone does not establish the setting of any individual plan. Confirm it with the practice.
